Termly Financial Reporting (SLA)

Available for maintained schools and academies

The service consists of a termly on-site visit to produce a budget monitoring report with commentary.

The service requires the school’s financial management systems to be compliant and up to date in advance of the consultant visit. The key components of the service are:

• Preparation of a detailed budget monitoring report

• Advice to schools on dealing with significant budget variances

• Investigation of budget variances at the school’s request

• Provision of support for grant monitoring

• Completion of a ‘health check’ on the finance system

• Data integrity check.

Schools may choose to use the consultant time on-site to support them with other tasks according to need (and subject to available time).

The Helpdesk service is available to schools purchasing this SLA.

The termly visit SLA includes 3 hours of Director review time.

The quarterly visit SLA includes 4 hours of Director review time.

Attendance at Governing Body Meetings

Although in most cases we would encourage schools to take ownership of the reporting to governors and other stakeholders, our consultants are happy to attend governing body and committee meetings if required.

For those schools with either the monthly or termly SLAs, there is no charge for attendance at a meeting which takes place on the day of the consultant visit and finishes by 6 p.m.
